The disaster it may cause in a nation whose health insurance is not covered comprehensively by the Government is unimaginable as a billion poor households will be exposed to Genetically modified food which has not been type tested against the percieved dangers. It is widely believed by the scientific and medical community that such foods may result in cancer, blood and membrane defenciences and fresh complications in the health of the extremly vulnerable to toxins group of the mother and child . Without countrywide health insurance and a largely uneducated and poor population the ramifications could be disastrous.
