Sciencewatch has done a detailed research cum report on major oil spills of the last decade reports Reuters. As per the report the major oil spills other than BP have been in the Americas and are as listed under. The list appears less than comprehensive as it has left out a few major spills like the Saudi Oil Spill and the Santa Barbara California. Nonetheless it has done a reasonably detailed mapping of the major global oil spills, as per the list below

The report also highlights some of the top Oil spills of 2010.One each in China, India, Egypt and 3 in the US ( one pipe leak at Michigan and two offshore drilling accidents in the Gulf of Mexico, not including the BP Deep water horizon, which anyway is the grand daddy of all spills to date.
